After graduating with Diplomas in both Acupuncture and TCM at Alberta College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Carrieanne went on to Kunming, China to intern in Acupuncture, Internal Medicine, Herbology, and Tuina.
Carrieanne loves the overall wholeness that acupuncture provides. The body is a system of interconnections and any weakness in one part of the system can create overall weakness in the body as a whole. Along with Herbs, Cupping, Moxa and Guasha and Diet, there are endless tools in acupuncture to deal with physical pain, emotional trauma, sports injuries, chronic disease/pain, or maintenance and prevention. Chinese Medicine offers a tool to facilitate in nearly any issue or question a client may come in with whether it be working alongside Western Medicine symptomology or addressing the root cause of the problem. TCM completely addresses the mind-body connection, correcting the weak link in the system, realigning the entire body on the path to wholeness.
After spending her entire childhood and into adulthood with severe allergies to animals and pollens with no relief, Carrieanne tried acupuncture. “After 3 visits my allergies were gone! I had suffered for so long it seemed like it was a miracle! I was so grateful I wanted to study acupuncture to be able to figure out how it worked.”
Carrieanne continues to further her education; she has NADA Certification for body detoxification, 5Elements Acupuncture to for mind/body balance and Feng Shui Certification in Body Balancing and Root Causes of Illness.
Outside of work Carrieanne loves to hike and spend time with her husband and 3 children.
