After graduating with a Diplomas in both Acupuncture and in TCM at Alberta College of Acupuncture and TCM Krystal returned to Higher Health in 2017 to apply and further her knowledge in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM.) Before moving back she checked a bucket list item off and travelled to Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM in Hangzhou, China to intern in Acupuncture, Internal Medicine, Herbology, Gynecology, and Tuina.
Krystal loves the variety that the medicine offers - endless tools in facilitating clients through their healing process with sports injuries, emotional trauma, Gynecological symptoms, chronic disease/pain, or maintenance and prevention. Chinese medicine offers a tool to facilitate in nearly any issue or question a client may come in with whether it be working alongside Western Medicine to mitigate symptomology or addressing the root cause to ongoing unanswered concerns a client is struggling with. Between Acupuncture & Herbology along with modalities such as Cupping, Moxabustion, Electro-Acupuncture, Tuina, and Diet Therapy there is always a role TCM can play by addressing the mind-body connection.
Finding Acupuncture as an injured runner this is what ignited her passion in the field as it exceeded expectations in resolving pain, aiding in allergy relief, hormone balancing, insomnia, and even managing her dogs Epilepsy for years.
Krystal is continuing to further her education; she has taken courses in Rocktape, Sports Medicine Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and is currently taking a Pediatric course.
Outside of work Krystal loves to run, enjoys Photography and being outdoors with her dog Reese.
