New to Massage

If you have never received a Massage before or "it's been a while" here are some great tips to get the most our of your Massage

Prep Before

  • Avoid the consumption of alcohol
  • Avoid heavy consumption of caffeine 
  • Avoid marijuana use
  • Avoid taking pain medications or muscle relaxants prior to your appointment
  • Shower before your appointment if you have undergone a heavy workout prior
  • Eat a light snack prior to your appointment
  • Wipe off make-up
  • Wash off heavy cologne's or perfumes. Our clinic is scent-free.
  • Bring your employer health insurance card

Arriving

  • If it's your first time, arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time
  • Let the receptionist know this is your first time at our clinic, you will need to fill out a client case history form
  • Give the receptionist your employer health insurance card prior to going in for your appointment
  • Arrive earlier enough to have a drink of water and use the washroom prior to your appointment 

During your Massage

  • Pressure too light? - Let the Therapist know
  • Pressure too heavy? - Let the Therapist know
  • Prefer silence during your treatment? - Let the Therapist know, you will not hurt our feelings
  • Prefer different music? - Let the Therapist know, we have access to all types of music
  • Do you have a tender or sore area of the body? - Let the Therapist know

After

  • Drink plenty of water. This helps flush toxins that have been released
  • Soak in a warm bath with epsom salts
  • Re-Book! - Our Therapists book up well in advance, to avoid missing the best time slots Re-Book now, you can always re-schedule at a later date
  • Avoid heavy physical activity or working out for a least 24 to 48 hours
