Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Originally From: Lethbridge, AB
Amanda’s passion for health started at a young age, during high school she studied Sports Medicine and began athletic training for the local high school Football and Rugby teams. After high school, she studied Massage Therapy at Lethbridge Community College, graduating in 2003. Her interest in Chinese Medicine developed through personal experience after her own sports injury was successful treated with Acupuncture. Truly amazed with her results, a thirst for knowledge was developed and she enrolled at Canadian Collage of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Victoria, British Columbia. This began her journey of studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture Techniques such as Cupping, Guasha, Moxabustion, Electro-acupuncture, Diet Therapy and Herbology. After graduating with diplomas in both TCM and Acupuncture in 2008 she moved to Fort McMurray and began the journey of opening up her own wellness clinic.
June 2010 saw Amanda and her husband Chad open the doors to Higher Health Acupuncture & Massage Therapy Clinic – a dream in the making! They were determined to provide a safe space for the community to come and receive life changing results, naturally.
Women’s health became an important part of Amanda’s life in 2012 and it is now the main focus of her practice. She helps women with fertility, menopause, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy and labour preparation. Amanda is also a DONA international Certified Doula. In 2015 Amanda started studying Knowledgism and is now a Certified Processor through the Advanced Coaching and Leadership Center. Processing will help you increase your ability to focus, which will then increase your power and help you attain all your want/dreams. Amanda loves helping individuals realize and achieve their goals, which enables them to lead prosperous, successful and happy lives.
