What is Reiki?
Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. When that energy is low, we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. When it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
A treatment feels like a glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person, including body, emotions, mind and spirit.
It is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use, and it complements medical treatment and other therapies rather than replacing them.

What to expect in your session
- You stay fully clothed and lie on the table.
- Your practitioner rests their hands lightly on, or just above, a series of positions.
- Each position is held for a few minutes.
- Many people feel warmth, tingling or a sense of settling. Many fall asleep.
- There is no manipulation of muscle or joints at any point.
Reiki can also be administered by your massage therapist as part of a treatment. Ask when you book.
Who should be aware before booking Reiki
Reiki is non-invasive and has no physical contraindications, but it is a complementary therapy and not a medical treatment. It should never replace care from your physician, and we will not tell you otherwise. If you are being treated for a medical or mental health condition, keep your care team informed and continue your prescribed treatment. If you would prefer no physical contact at all, say so and your practitioner will work with hands held above the body throughout.
