Kia Compagnon has always been interested in the human body and it’s mechanics. Being active throughout her life, she decided to study Kinesiology as her post secondary education. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University, NS, in 2010. Shortly after, she moved to Fort McMurray.
While working as a Kinesiologist, she discovered a new passion for holistic healing and the inseparable connection between the mind and body. Kia decided to then pursue a career in Massage Therapy.
Graduating from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy in 2016, she is now certified in Therapeutic, Swedish Relaxation and Pre/Post Natal massage. Her treatments are customized to each individual to enhance overall health and well-being. She likes to incorporate relaxation massage in with myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger point therapy. She will also communicate the importance of self- management by participating in homecare such as hydro-therapy, stretching and/or strengthening exercises and taking time for yourself.
Her passion to expand her knowledge in energy healing, has lead her to complete her Reiki course and is now a Reiki Master. She is looking forward to enhancing her career with additional modalities and techniques.
Kia’s other passions in life include the outdoors, travelling, animals and spending time with family and friends
